I understand that we have to grind results out, but at least under Pulis I always thought we would. Now it maybe Hodgson's tactics, but I also feel that the players had more spirit and belief in their abilities.I feel under Hodgson, they just don't buy into his tactical approach, and don't enjoy playing his way.

Have to say watching Palace at home over the last full calendar year has been very depressing and a complete contrast to the previous three years

How this guy keeps praising scouting and puts up with no funds is shocking and if he beliefs what he is saying to media he really is past it.

Who would replace him say he does tomorrow? I can't think of any one that would want to come here.

I said this before let him retire end of the season but he wont I can see him seeing out the new 2 year deal he signed which means if he is backed in the summer then goes the next season we could be in same mess player wise as before new manager not liking players wanting new ones which means need to spend which SP does want to do.

I agree, I doubt anyone would like to come here and work with Parish, unless they've got £££ in their eyes - i.e. get the boot and earn a few million. A pity, because we have a good enough team to do well.

Hodgson performed a miracle last season keeping us up against all the odds.We really were prime relegation candidates and we ended up in a respectable 11th place.

At the present time, we aren't in the relegation zone and there is a small buffer between ourselves and the team in 18th place.Whilst of course supporters are in despair about certain matters, not least the strength in forward areas and our abject home form, Hodgson still has credit in the bank for what he has achieved and he will not be going anywhere soon.

What he needs is a slice of luck, like Wan Bissaka last year, but a forward.

Zaha is brilliant but an air-head, can't score for toffee.

No Manager can force anyone to score, he is probably tearing his hair out.

I understand the goodwill to Hodgson for his achievement last season and it’s understandable and commendable that people are tolerant and patient with him.
It’s also true that we have a good chance of staying up this season.
However, the central point is that the dearth of home wins and goals this season is not just down to lack of a striker or bad luck.
We have lacked creativity, flair and vision in attack and it’s valid to ask questions of Hodgson in this regard.
People refer ‘20 chances’ per game but this has not been the case for the vast majority of games.
Playing people in wrong positions, poor set pieces, failure to get players in the box when on the attack.
I’m not saying he is a bad manager but I don’t believe he is getting the best out of the squad.

The squad is not doing RH justice by missing so many chances, it's not his fault that they seem to be so incompetent at finding the back of the net.
We are actually playing pretty good football at the moment it's just our lack of a finish that is letting us down.

You can’t blame the manager when our senior players are creating and missing sitters

I worry that all is well in the dressing room
The team appears to have lost their confidence

Yesterday wasn’t about confidence we just got to convert chances 2 yards from the goal

I disagree with those who think Hodgson performed a miracle. Pulis performed miracle based on our starting league position and players. In Pardew's first season he did a great job coming in after Warnock to keep us up. BFS did a good job, but spent about £45M plus had £30M Sakho on loan.

Roy had 34 games and one of our best squads to turn it around last year, basically all he needed to do is not play 3 at the back. It was a good job, but we'd already avoided relegation 4 seasons on the trot. It's not like it was an impossible task with the players we have.

Like Pardew, he seems to have run out of ideas. Unfortunately, these managers have a limited shelf live before they get found out.

RH’s is very poor. Recently his negative approach to the Chelsea game and the poor home form in general. Yesterday was a typical example. We didn’t do that badly up to their equaliser but it seem to knock the stuffing out the team. Substitutions should have been made at this point. One of the strikers should have been changed for a mid field player. We were overrun in mid field from this point onwards. Wickham should have been brought on instead of Benteke because he had had a couple of games already.
The other point was the way Watford always got five or six players in and around the box. We had on occasions only one or two!

Roy’s stubbornness to change is costing us

No subs, no starting xl change, playing Wilf at centre forward when we have strikers on the bench...Wilf and Andros are so much better on the wings.....continually playing Hennessey when guaita is so obviously the better keeper...yesterday, need a goal, takes off striker, brings on def mid, leaves two strikers on bench...the list is endless...we can’t blame Roy for our lack of goals of course, our finishing is woeful....what we can blame him for is his unwillingness to change anything, his lack of belief in anyone apart from the usual starting xl...maybe not now, but he has to go if we are to advance
