If there been another recent thread sorry to do another.

Im just tired of the problems we cause ourselves, we seem clueless with our throws ins and often we throw the ball to the opposition who immediately attack us.
Every game for years!!
It happened at Liverpool, Van Holt careless......

Ps whats happened this year to Van Holt and Zaha, last year the two were magic with interplay, I dont see the opposition closing both down any more than last season. has one of them got the hump. its affected Van Holt. Your thoughts?

Wilf has been wasted upfront for about 80% of the season, that's why you aren't seeing them link up as they aren't anywhere near each other.

Have been saying this all season, it is bizarre. I have actually said to my son, if I was an opposition player I wouldn't bother arguing over whose throw it is, as they will get it anyway

The problem if we actually have one, is down the left. AWB rarely throws the ball away at throw ins.

I’ve never seen the throw in as an attacking set piece as we don’t have the long throw specialist or currently anyone to get on the end of it.

Liverpool have a throw-in coach, a Danish chap called Thomas Gronnemark.

Wasn't Dean Gordon a bit good at the long throw?

Not seen the likes since and it is a frustration, got to agree.

Our throw ins have been terrible for most of my 40 years as a Palace fan but its not just us, whenever I watch other teams their throw ins are just as bad and if you look closely the majority are foul throws but referees don't seem to bother picking up on it.

Is it me or do we hardly ever do the throw in quickly? Whether this is down to someone doing the throw in quick or organising someone to receive it I don't know.

When we attack towards the Holmesdale end I sit close to the left hand side, so when we are attacking I'm sure I don't see someone quickly pick the ball up & then throw it in. This might be because the players want to wait & get themselves more organised but when taking it quickly we may not be but the team defending team wont be as well which will be to our advantage.

Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in?

I haven't seen a decent Palace throw in since 1969,when the legendary Bobby Woodruff was master of the long throw.

I recall Fabio Capello as England manager being unhappy with the possession lost because of poor throw ins. He much preferred it to go simple to retain possession.
