No money to spend on a forward? How about a free player? I've been wathicng this guy since he was in Croatia with Hajduk Split and I've always considered him to be a really great finisher, I never thought he would become free:

[Link]

A little chubby, but that's not bad for a center forward who has to fight the defenders. He still is a fighter and I think he can cut in the Premier League at around the same level as other big strikers, like Mitrovic from Fulham or Rondon from Newcastle. Very skilled too, as you can notice from the video above.

He also played sometimes ar right and left winger, but I will only refer here to his skills as a center forward. After scoring 26 times for Hajduk Split in 2 years in Croatia's first league, he was bought by Shenzen of China who was pushing for promotion to the Chinese Super League. He scored 18 and assisted 11 more in 20 matches for them as they won promotion (of course the level is very low, but he had already proven his skills in a medium European league like the Croatian one).

As of this January, he is a free agent having finished his contract with the Chinese and is free to sign with anyone. Of course, Hajduk wants him back, but he would surely accept a deal from the Premier League. He allegedly received about 20.000 a week in Shenzhen.

The problem would be with the work permit. He only has Cameroonian citizenship and though he scored 8 times in 12 matches for Cameroon U21, he was never called up to the main national team, having played only in small leagues.

But seriously, he is free, make this investment, MAKE THIS HAPPEN, loan him out to the Serie A or the Bundesliga or even to the Championship for a year so that he can get into the national team and then obtain a permit for him. You can get a player with starter potential in the Premier League for just a small investment. Cameroon has Choupo Moting (who never plays for PSG), Ekambi from Villarreal, injured Aboubakar, a striker from Angers, one from Young Boys and one from Henan Jianye for 4 places up front. Ohandza can get in there if he plays in the right league.

Or find him his French maternal or paternal grandma, as most Cameroonians have and get him the French citizenship (unlikely, but could be possible).

I really think that there'll be better options out there in the Summer than a player who's 28 this year, has never played at any comparable level and who doesn't have, and may well never be able to get, a work permit.

Better options for just the investment of a small salary for a free player, like he is today?? Then no.

Maybe better option for 10 million or more. Even Ohandza himself I predict will cost around 5 million if he gets picked up by a good team now.

And he is 27. He will be 28 all the way in September, like in 9 months from now.

And I present a player at this age as certainty, not a 21 year old for the future, if that's what you meant by better options in the summer.

Funny when you recommend a player he is a little chubby "but that's ok" but when talking about Bakary Sako you called him fat and that's not ok. Please explain this anomaly

So sign a player who has been plying his trade in China, will not qualify for a work permit, have to loan him out for at least 1 year in the hope he will get an international call up or try to find a (possible non-existant) grandparent. Not sure even Palace are that stupid

Why do you keep replying to me even though you know I almost never bother to answer you?

But just so it's clear, it's not ok for Bakary Sako to be a little chubby if he wants to play as a winger. He can play as center forward in these conditions, but he has like 15 matches as center forward in his entire career. Not a striker to rely on for long-term good performance in that position, though he has scored some goals from it.

But I would prefer a striker who knows what that position is having played there over 200 matches.

Well, come one, he's not THAT chubby. He's more like Aboubakar Kamara from Fulham.

I can confidently say that he's much faster than Benteke. Watch the video in the op.
