Thanks Willo, good post. What about Che Adams upfront?

Him or Maupay from the Championship might be good signings, although Roy will have to be willing to give them a go.

If you look at the squad it does not look bad. It will i suspect get tweaked a bit more than the suggestions made. A lot will depend on if Zaha stays or goes. If Wan Bissaka goes it won't be to hard to bring in a right back but our play is built around getting the ball to Zaha and we won't realistically get a like for like replacement if Zaha is sold.
Rubens Loftus Cheek would improve out midfield but he might now be out of our price range now. Can see why people like Mooy due to his tackling and set play deliveries. This would give Benteke some better service but he is not the quickest player. Would also like us to sign Doucoure but we are a similar club to Watford to don't think he would join us.
Cardiff who look doomed have some pacey forward players and i think Bobby Reid as a back up striker is not a bad shout.

Nothing wrong with these suggestions at all. If these are the incomings to the club I would be happy with them, although as Glasgow still is a dream move for McArthur and he still has some value I would trade him for Mooy as well.

We do need strengthening in the CB area, owing to the vulnerabilities of Sakho and Tomkins in terms of injuries. Konya seems a good young CB with bags of potential available at a decent price?

Yes agreed. We need to get some youth into that position that can hopefully be given time and phased in. Our current 2 back ups are performing valiantly but neither can play from the back and they're not getting any younger.

Wouldn't we all but he's been linked to PSG so no chance.

Unfortunately we would probably need £70 million plus for those 4, so think 3 will be tops.

Totally agree. Again on Saturday he looked a liability at the back and his contribution going forward isn't enough to negate this. Get a better defensive left back and if we can keep AWB and have the 4 CB's we already have, then we will have a better defensive unit. This again next season I think will be crucial, if not the major contribution to us not flitting with the bottom 3. It is going to take a lot more to sort out our attacking issues.

Good suggestions as others have said but as much as I am a fan of his I really think it's time to let Connor go and get a replacement for him as well. However I'm not familiar with the complications of his contract regarding that.

Of course we bought Cardiff's, younger, star player a few years ago, Jordan Mutch (:
