Martin Atkinson (47) of Leeds.

His three previous Palace matches this season, all at home, were the defeat v Soton, the draw v Arsenal and the win v Grimsby Town.

He was great against Arsenal. Everyone else saw an arm and hand; he saw a ten foot tall player.
I also have always suspected him, rightly or wrongly, of being a Man U fan. And before everyone Google's it to prove me wrong - guess what? Just a suspicion.

Maybe he's related to Man U's last English manager.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Great. We had Clattenburg, who was clearly either totally inept or hopelessly star struck, when we played Man Utd in the Cup Final and now there’s another one?
(Not trying to dilute people’s enthusiasm and delight that soppy bollox Clattenburg has gone, just that I’d hoped he was the last of his type).
