Evil developer with helicopters - call Airwolf.
Murder of local policeman - call Airwolf.
Kid bullied at school - blow some helicopters out of the sky. Problem solved.

Whirlybirds was still being repeated well into the sixties.
J M Vincent seems to have had a chaotic life; car crashes, substance abuse, broken neck, leg amputated and lots of other trauma so he did well to get to his early seventies.
