Has anyone had any experiences in dealing with a painter/handyman who gets customers from local community pages on Facebook in Orpington and other areas in SE London?

Joking aside, what has the painter/odd jobber done?

Also was he working out the back of a car(no van) as its not often a good sign.
Painter this year, window fitter before that & probably a plasterer next year.
