Brexit chickens.....Chickens you can never leave alone.

Mind you, that sounds like a tagline for bestiality aficionados.

These are the same places where they experiment with different types of chicken to feed the masses. Bigger, fatter chickens and because drumsticks are very popular farmers are even breeding chickens with 6 legs!!! Trouble is no-one knows what they taste like coz no-one can catch the buggers! Oh no, not chlorine.........

that stuff that you drink by the mouthful in swimming pools, scrub your teeth with in toothpaste and feel good that it's killing all the bacteria that could otherwise make you very, very unwell.......

It's a chlorine wash, not a dip and whilst it MAY encourage a reduction in food handling standards, even those hard-to-please Mandarins at the EU agree it is harmless.

Use of antibiotics in the UK is tumbling

In chicken farms it fell 44% between 2012 and 2015 and has continued to fall since.

We use different antibiotics for animals, unlike in the US where the NHS reports that 70% of antibiotics used on meat are medically important for humans

Chickens arenít a big interest for me but I believe that selling any meat with traces of antibiotics will result in stiff penalties. It is checked.

You are required to leave animals for a prescribed grace period before slaughter depending upon the medication they have been given. This is listed in the passport for larger animals.

If we move onto WTO agreements we may not be able to have such controls. The Chinese are especially blasť in their use of antibiotics.

Chlorine in such doses (50 parts per million) may or may not be harmless. That is not the argument. It canít be used to replace good husbandry. Rates of Salmonella infection in the US are hugely higher than in the UK.

Still, who cares if we have ten times as many cases of food poisoning. Probably mostly only kill the old and the young.

So protectionist Maple....If you're so willing to open your borders to people surely you shouldn't be against the Chickens.

Show the Chinese chickens some love Maple.......It's Chickenist.....Chickenophobia.....institutional Chickenism.

Chinese chickens don't need you to be so sour.....be sweeter.......Use you noodle and think again.

Am I missing something?
0ver 50% of the chicken we buy contains salmonella in fatal quantities. I'm all up for buying ones that have taken a swim in chlorine.

The trick is to cook the f***ing thing.
