...(with the benefit of hindsight) ....going out of the FA Cup like we did, or a humiliating 6-0 drubbing by Citeh in front of TV millions around the world?

We would have made a better fist of it than Watford by employing our usual tactics and the moaners would complain about Roy's negative tactics even if we managed to win. Watford suffered from stopping playing after they got to the final and had lost all their momentum from earlier in the season , Man City took full advantage and were awesome.

The choice is going out against Watford 2-1 or the humiliating 6-0 in the final against Man.C. The humiliation is totally horrendous and no matter how much flag waving they did so not to be able to witness it anymore as it unfolded it front of them that scenario is a million trillion times worse then anything I can imagine in football ...and it couldn't have happened to a better squad! Stones should have made it seven! and that would have been the complete icing. Awful disgusting club, Man.C will hopefully get a ban for cheating, so I could be doubly

I would take a qf defeat over a 6-0 drubbing in the final, but I agree with previous posts that Palace would have been more astute tactically than Watford, and they wouldn't have folded. We'll never know, of course. Edited by YT (19 May 2019 11.01am)
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

We wouldn’t moan playing that way v Man City but we would vs some other cr@p, yes, you’re right.
