As you will all be aware, the Premier League restarted a few days ago following a 100-day hiatus resulting from the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, with this season’s remaining fixtures to be played behind closed doors over the course of the coming weeks.

However, while no Premier League matches took place over the affected period, all head-to-head fixtures in FPL competitions were completed as scheduled during that time. This includes the 2019/20 Holmesdaleship head-to-head fantasy league, whose remaining ‘virtual fixtures’ for this season were consequently finalised with 0-0 draws being recorded in each case. The league’s season has therefore now been completed in full.

While there are no longer any more points to be awarded for wins and draws in any head-to-head leagues though, Gameweek points will continue to be credited to each FPL team for player performances in the remaining Premier League games.

With this in mind, I would like to continue the fantasy league for the remainder of the season in a ‘classic league’ format, using the cumulative Gameweek point totals gained from the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

Also, as there are still a reasonable number of weeks of the current season left, I will be maintaining a separate league table for a shortened ‘mini’ season, just for Gameweek points awarded from the restart onwards.

As these tables obviously won’t appear on the FPL site, I will upload them to this thread after the Gameweek points have been updated each week. I have attached a table showing the current standings for the classic league at the end of Gameweek 29, prior to the restart.

I’m sure we’ve all missed having Palace matches to look forward to along with our weekly dose of football in general, and fantasy leagues are very much a part of all that for many of us nowadays. We may not be able to attend any matches in person for a while, but I hope the above changes will at least help keep the interest going for the rest of the season and give us something extra to cheer about along the way.
