Roy leaves and Parish installs Freedman as manager.

Our demise is complete.

Realistically, I can't see us getting anything against the Toffees, Manure or Villa.

We might scrape a point or even 3 (don't hold your breath) against the blades but it will be tough.

Hark back to the day we beat Sheffield United at Wembley and got promoted. It was a 90th minute beaut from Hopkin but you could see it coming, or I could anyway. We had larged up the volume for like the last 20 minutes, and when it went in the place just exploded. That was a great day, perhaps the last time we played against them!?

Mine's a light and bitter.

I remember the complete relief, given the Claridge winner 12 months earlier (the closest I've ever come to crying at a football game).

I predict 4 defeats I'm afraid. Beginning with a mullering at the hands of Everton. They won't let us off the hook again like they did on their last visit.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I can very well imagine that managerial switch some point in the near future.

C'mon Rudi.....you know it makes sense.
But I know the feeling. After last Saturday and if Wilf is in Blue (Everton away) it will be hard to take.

I don’t like playing the promoted teams at the beginning of the season, as they are all blood and thunder and they haven’t had the stuffing knocked out of them. Looking at those fixtures I fancy 5 points max.

First game Everton, who remembers Jules having an absolute mare against them the last time we met them on the first day of the season?

Lose against Everton - we'll all be terribly morose and talking doom about the new season..!!

Scrappy draw against Sheffield Utd - we'll all be saying that's our level for the rest of the season.

Beat Manure away - backs to the wall job, whilst Wilf puts on a one man show and rips AWB a new one, AWB brings him down for a pen with 5 to go Milo converts..!!

1-0 to the mighty Palace - we all realise what a great deal £50M was for a player that has played just 42 games - Solskjaer's brave new world at the theatre of screams starts to unravel..!!

Comfortable win win against Villa at home with new signings beginning to bed in..!!

With a what was all the fuss about pre- season and transfer window..!!

So 7 points for me....!!

COYP

Home form against them is not good, it will be extremely tough yes.
