Exactly what I expected. Couldn't see Wilf starting and the new players have only been at the club two minutes so they were never going to start either. Defence is a big worry, I'll be very surprised if we get anything out of this but you never know.

Oh dear! Why would you not start wilf, no reason not to start the best player. Dann and Kelly and ward oh dear. Kouyate can play at the back? Meyer left wing. I hope I'm proved wrong but come on Roy. The way pre season has gone to, no goals in the team. No counter attacking threat. Shows u how bad a sigjing Cahill is, the best two centre backs are out and cahill still doesn't play.

Do you actually know anything about football? I think I know the answer already.

Most certainly not European.

Ayew's a backup player they said. Ayew is a great squad signing they said.

Basically starting with 10 men. 9 when you consider how poor ward is too.

Would you consider yourself a glass half full or glass half empty kind of fella?

I think the only call was whether Cahill was fit to start ahead of Dann. Wilf only came back to training last week so irrespective of the transfer shenanigans he was unlikely to start. For once we have real game changers on the bench...probably more than on the pitch!

I very much doubt this will be the same line-up come September, but hopefully it will be enough to get us something today. I doubt there are many people that were happy with the transfer window, but if we can lift our heads, and with a bit of fortune, we can still have a solid season. Camarasa was Cardiff's player's POTY last season and I think he has the potential to be the missing link in our forward play, while I think Meyer is in for a big season. We may have a questionable backline and forward line, but we have great options in midfield now and if Zaha can channel his energy in the right way for the good of himself and the club then who knows what we can achieve.

I know a bit I guess played pro myself
.. just my opinion that's all. Just doesn't give me much confidence, that team. Feel we have gone backwards the last two seasons.

Doesn't surprise me.

Hodgson doesn't like playing new players until they have settled in. As for Zaha my only surprise is that he is even available I wasn't expecting to see him.

Anyway COYP

These are not new players Roy has been given at start of transfer window. These are days old still

He’s made the correct decision

Looking at that team has made me sad.

We get an injury at fullback and we're screwed

I dont know what all the moaning is about.

Transfer window closed Thursday, we all knew who was in our squad.

We signed 3 players this week, do you really think they would start? After a couple days training? Very naive to think that if thats the case.

As for Wilf and the defense, its the same case. Wilf only came back this week, and as soon as he was back he wanted to leave, therefore his mind hasnt been on it. Now he knows he cant move, he is much suited in this game to come off the bench and make an impact.

Defense wise, we all knew Sakho and Tomkins werent fit, so who were you expecting to start?

Lets get behind the boys, see how they do and i bet you next game it will be a different line up (i hope lol)
