I think if you are a stand up fella, house, job etc then they are happy to nick you, but if you are more transient, then they donít bother as they donít think itís worth the time and energy involved.

So basically if you play by the rules then you are a target but if live on the edge of society you get away with stuff.

Itís like when the pickeys turn up with 20 caravans and set up camp in the local park for a month. Imagine if you or I put the wife and kids in a caravan and parked it in the middle of a football pitch. Weíd be nicked within the hour!

Of course overall you're correct. Pretty much play by the rules & you're an easy target. And the reason is most 'Law abiding people' accept it.
Then again if you don't give a monkeys & when arrested moan about you're 'Civil Rights' Etc they let you go.

Go tell Tony Blair.

i predict that if the situation gets any worse, members of the public will be taking the matter into their own hands. Certainly those who live in crime-ridden areas. Happy to not live in a modern-day war zone. The lessons of history are all there. How did Tommy arise ?

its almost got to that stage with the pakistani rape gangs.

Pretty much spot on. If you're straight down the line and a known quantity, they'll pick fault over nothing. If on the other hand they feel an air of intimidation and lawlessness, a wide berth is typically given. So then horrendous stuff like this happens when someone does actually do their job properly.
