I noticed that Sky TV were trying to milk out public sympathy for some poor Immigrant the other day & saw this article on the BBC website.
Personally I think It's a great Idea especially for short term housing problems & for single people looking for cheaper accomodation.
I think as long as they are kitted out properly with water, electricity, air conditioning, heating etc they'd be fine?
I remember the old prefabs from the 2nd World War as a kid & am guessing there are a few kicking about.
This idea is surely better than being crammed in a Hostel with countless others.

Air con, blimey that's not a gimme over here but on the wireless the other day the only issue was space.
Most said that compared to shared housing it was pretty good.
I think its temporary for most but if not it is still your own front door.

I would of thought preferable too living under a bridge or a noisy hotel where they put dozens of homeless. With people coming & going 24 hours a day.
I wouldn't of thought It's too much different to living in a Static home/Caravan?

Definitely. A cheap and efficient way of housing people. Even unrelated to homelessness, they're a cheap way to create something rather impressive for the price.

I saw the news item that basically consisted of a wailing Syrian? woman complaining how her son is disabled/ has autism and that the accommodation is unsuitable. I wondered what disabled services the Syrian government offered? What is so unfair about being given free accommodation? May not be the best accommodation but certainly not the worst. You also have to wonder why the kid always has autism in these stories? Must be 50 percent of children if the media is anything to go by.

If these parasites don't like it, tough sh*t. They're perfectly free to f*ck off.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Because Xmas presents for the foreseeable are bound to be all too predictable. Countless pairs of socks and a bottle of Jack Daniels. Never let it be said that I'm a difficult man to buy for!
