On the subject of managers, our erstwhile coach has been appointed manager of Bristol Rovers.It is not often that a new manager is appointed with a club in 4th place and very much in the promotion race.

Our second-best manager of all time (after Coppell) came here as a player near the end of his career, was then recruited to act as assistant to a much older and more experienced manager, and eventually took over the reigns and led the club through a very successful period in its history.
