So Ben Garner's been appointed manager at Bristol Rovers.
I seem to recall he was hugely respected during his many years with us and credited with the development of Moses, Wilf, Scannel, Joniesta et al. I wonder whether we might have benefitted from keeping him.

Yes, I think you are entirely correct. If I recall correctly, it was Pardew who replaced him with John Salako and that certainly didn't work out too well. Not too surprising given some of the stuff he comes out with on a fairly regular and tedious basis.

Yet another error of the many made by "plonker" Pards.

I certainly have no desire to label Pardew in such terms.
I will assert that one never hears him linked to any jobs any more, and the same applies to Allardyce,Pulis and Coleman.

Good luck to Ben Garner at Bristol Rovers who are unbeaten in their last 12 games, covering league and cup.

Good for Pardew.Never heard him linked with this job.

Still hasn't been linked with any jobs in England for seemingly ages.If it goes well for him in The Netherlands perhaps clubs in England will be attracted to him.

I suspect he will last more than 4 games in charge.

Pardew has never managed or coached in the Eredivisie and if he doesn't know much about this league it really is a gamble taking over a team second from bottom.

Haha, or they could take the view they can’t do any worse. Well apart from one position anyway.
