Much as I 'respect' our rivalry with the Weed (why did we not try to buy Mooy?) is it just me who thinks that there is no more dislikable team in the division that Watford? Some genuine thugs in their team and to now top it all they have that true Psychopath as a manager (remember that time when he rugby tackled McArthur?). Sadly I now think they will survive.

We were linked with him But imagine it came down to facilities etc as wages would I imagine would have been similar. That's why we need to upgrade stadium and training facilities.

I can barely look at the thread title. Two sets of deluded c@cks. One managed by a cub scout leader, the other by a concentration camp guard. If they both went out of existence, the world would be a better place.

Watford are entirely loathsome.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

If they survive at the expense of either Brighton or West Ham then I don’t care.

I do, they are the most loathsome bunch of s***s. I do not understand how Deeney wasn’t charged for his comments about rotational fouling.
Them, Brighton and West Ham/Bournemouth relegated would be the best season ever. Happy New Year

I know that I am at odds with almost everyone else on this site but I don't hate Brighton. I find it rather silly to hate a football club just because their manager and ours had a falling out 40 or 50 years ago.

The only two clubs that I actively dislike at the moment are Watford and their little band of cloggers and Bournemouth who seem to think that FFP doesn't apply to them

I agree with this. Just can’t get excited about a club 50 miles away who we’ve only played 25 times or so since this enmity began.

I like having the rivalry with Brighton and admit to enjoying giving them a going over on the field of play, but, for me also,"hatred" is taking things too far.

Living only 7 miles from The Amex, and having previously lived in Brighton for 30 years, I inevitably have a number friends and acquaintances, all decent people, who are Brighton fans and love their side in the same way as we Palace fans do. As such it's hard to garner much animosity towards the club.

They are well run with a chairman who is also a fan
( like Steve Parish), and a manager who has got them playing an attractive, and fairly successful, brand of football. From nearly going out of the league in 1998 they have risen to the Premier League and got themselves an impressive new stadium along the way.

In case anyone thinks my "eulogy" to Brighton is down to me being B&HA troll, I have supported Palace since 1964, but believe there are so many more important things happening in the world to vent my spleen on than a football club.

I enjoy our rivalry with Brighton.

But I just can’t stand Watford and their thuggish players. Would much rather see Watford get relegated than Brighton.
