I'm watching Barrow v Bromley on BT Sport and Barrow came out on to the pitch to Dave Clarke Five glad all over. Really? I know Blackpool did it which was annoying but now I've seen another club doing it. Why cant every team have "their" own anthem to come out to etc. Maybe we should be like some clubs and have a song made up for us that has "Palace" in the lyrics so no one can copy it? I'm thinking maybe we could have one when we we get the stadium built up so it's starting a new chapter? Anyone's thoughts on this?

We’ve been singing GAO since the 60s. If others choose to copy that’s up to them, but we shouldn’t just throw our traditions away. And, we are known for GAO. Apart from Liverpool & W Ham who else is known for their song?

Glad all over was introduced at Palace by John Henty, the PA man waaaay back in the 60s, who still goes.

I believe Yeovil also use it?

I find it flattering other clubs use it to be honest, everyone knows it as Palace's song first and foremost.

Really sad is Watford using Z-Cars, that is so much connected with Everton!

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I don't think of GAO as a club anthem, just a tune used when the players come on the pitch. It's nothing to do with Palace and anyone can use it. I think Fulham, Brentford and QPR all use London Calling, which is a much better song. It annoys me that Chelsea play The Liquidator as it is one of my favorite tunes.

I have seen Palace play at Watford many a time and don't remember them ever playing the Z Cars theme, perhaps you can't hear it in the away and, or we drowned it out?

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

They really should come out to 'I'm still standing' written and performed by one of their own, stupid little club.

In the good old days when we used to have wooden advertising boards around the pitch we used to bash the crap out of them to GAO that was when it sounded it's best and nothing comes near to it now sadly, very difficult song to sing well in all honesty.

Fulham use London Calling at the start of the second half and end it just before kick off with the line 'live by the river' - coming out at the start of a game is some weird music that everyone claps to using clappers which is really bad but strangely fun at the same time...

I think Sunderland also use Z-Cars theme

Admittedly not been up there in a long time but they used to come out to that Prokofiev one that's the Apprentice theme and also Republica Ready to Go, both pretty impressive I thought

Seems they like to shake it up every so often. All the songs mentioned been used at one time or another.

I prefer the continuity with GAO myself, even if it has nothing to do with the club directly.

A song that passes down the generations is better in my view, unless you happen to live in Norwich!
