Just looking at next group of games and feel very positive that we could hit the magic number by 29th probably subject to wilf staying
Given injuries and suspension would be a great achievement but being palace just as likely to still be on 30

Given the form of our manager and his past achievements at other clubs we are much more likely to hit the higher number due to the stability he has installed, but yes being a Palace fan it helps enormously to have our feet firmly placed on the ground.

40 points should be enough and is achievable as a minimum expectation,given our strong start to the season.
Other sides,though,beginning to put in some strong performances, other than Brighton who despite their new expansive playing style,are now just two points above the drop zone,much to our surprise (and joy!!)under scout master Potter.

I would love to see how Brighton board react if they slip into bottom 3, for all their attacking style of play they have only scored a couple more goals than us.

I think we will need 42 this season. Only Norwich are cast adrift

40 points could well be relegated this season in my opinion but I cannot believe 18th will achieve more than that.
If we continue on like last night then I would worry but I am hoping that it was a horrible blip that Roy will put right during the forthcoming break.

Sheff United arguably a tougher game than the likes of Arsenal.

Things could turn quite dramatically from utter despair from a loss to all is well again after a win.

Thankful for a PL break at this moment.

It is possible that 40 will be required this year given that many of the teams below us are showing signs of life.
Bookies have us best priced 20/1 to go down so they definitely think we will survive. Interestingly Newcastle, who also have 30 points, are best priced 6/1 to go down. Either we are way over priced or they are underpriced. I suspect the answer lies somewhere in between.
