So ... a slight deflection from the drudgery of another mid table / relegation fight season ...

Love an away day and the top 3 still on my away day hit list, after all these years, are:

1) Elland Road
2) Fratton Park
3) Villa Park

All about the old stadiums.

What's yours?

Not been to Villa yet so agree with you there but have been to the other two.

Astonishingly (I have family there and do get to a few away games), I have never been to St. James' or Stadium of Light. Not in current state however, but when the Geordies/Mackems are in full voice I'd imagine it's an experience.

Sheff Utd away this season would have been interesting I reckon and have not been there.

I'd love us to get into Europe just to draw against one of the Greek/Turkish/Eastern European sides as they can be feisty albeit probably terrifying! I did go see Hadjuk Spilt whilst on holiday however and that was quite tame.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Villa Park and Carrow Road - struggling for a third, maybe Leeds, and a euro visit would be nice but I'm not holding my breath.

I need to do Spurs new ground, never managed Plymouth in my regular away days travels back in the 80’s and 90’s and as I’ve got a mate moved down there I’d like to draw them in a cup, and I’ve always had a thing about going to Mansfield

Goodson Park
Carrow Road
Loftus Road

Pleased I got to go to Ninian Park in the season before Cardiff moved... you could see what an intimidating place it could be!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Loftus Rd is a shoe box. Goodison Pk won't be around for long and is nothing special but Carrow Rd is better than you might think, despite being in Norfolk.

I fell in love in doing my 92 so got slightly delayed , yet nearly all the Prem and Championship done. 65 out of 92 done.

Top 3 outstanding:
Carlisle, Tranmere and Swindon.

Totally with you on old grounds! Villa Park my favorite in the PL, not that fond of Elland Road but Fratton Park has it all: good floodlights, intimate atmosphere, 4 wonky different stands close to the pitch, interesting facade, residential location.

2) Elland Road
3) The Amex Stadium (sadly not a season ticket holder so can never get a ticket)
