Actually Stormzy is rather inspiring. He has the courage to express a preference for his own race and is willing to stand up for it. I think it is more than possible to be Pro-black whilst not being anti-anything else. It is certainly a sentiment I am starting to echo, abliet from a different racial POV.

Yes, the issue is largely the double standards but I do also feel like it is not necessarily healthy to be obsessed with your own 'colour'. It does seem that we can't see the absurdity of asking Black people if they think society should treat them better. What on earth would we expect them to say? Anyone of colour who spoke out against current trends would be branded an Uncle Tom or ignored anyway. White people clearly aren't allowed to defend their own interests with regard to immigration, crime and positive discrimination and until that changes, the resentments will grow and so called racism will be perpetuated.

Better to give to local charities I find. At least that way you can direct and trace where your money goes and who it goes to. National charities act more like corporations. "91% of all registered charities have no paid staff at all and are run entirely by volunteers". Lots of national charities spend around 40% of donations on operational costs and advertising, detracting from local efforts and wasting money on tv ads. AGE UK pushed crap equity release deals to the elderly and vulnerable via their 'equity release advice service' because they got paid thousands as an affiliate for each sign up [Link] . Not very charitable!

Your final paragraph is absolutely bang on. It sums up the groundswell of opinion that is building. I’d be happy if racism was eradicated for good, but I’m not going to be brow beaten into a certain mindset.
