Big clubs might have to change their loan policies to make up for the short term losses.

Liverpool are considering letting him leave permanetly

[Link]

Surely this is the exact kind of striker we should be going for, young, quick, great finisher.
Dont like the idea of a buy back clause but if you put it at double of what you buy for i would be happy.

That is proper sneaky. So Liverpool sell him for £20m and get the money in to fund other players. Yet, if Brewster hits it big time then they get to buy him back......probably at fee nowhere near the market value if he has really succeed.

You would have to be a mug to go for that kind of deal.

Wait for an incoming Palace bid then.

Isn't what we are trying to do with Sorloth equally sneaky?

I think 18 million would secure him, cause that's the clause, but it's a question of salary bidding between a few Premier League clubs.

However, 18 million seems huge to me for a Championship player. Patrik Schick is playing in a Champions League semifinal tonight, is the same age as Watkins, and costs 22 million.

As a comparison, you don't even need to look further than a wikipedia page.

Schick has 35 goals in 122 matches in the top leagues in Italy, Germany and for the national team.

Watkins has 45 goals in 132 matches at secondary level for Brentford.

There was no clause.

Given the amount of money we have gifted Liverpool of late then we should be given first dibs regardless.

Rather we go after Folarin Balogun from arsenal with no buyback option.

This would be an amazing signing imo. Instinctive natural goal scorer with so much potential.
Really hope this comes off - maybe part of a deal that sees Wilf go to the Reds?
Klopp Is a fan and I recall him commenting post match “Zaha- wow what a player”. Although I hate Liverpool nearly as much as I hate Man U - I would love to see Wilf fulfilling his potential and winning something. He would suit Liverpool so well and If we got Brewster as part of a deal it would soften the blow.

An interesting thought and not beyond the bounds of possibility, especially if Salah goes to Barca. That would also mean we might get a shot at Sarr.
Doubt any of it will happen, though, but let's dream on. after all, that's supposed to be part of the fun of this site - dreaming!

(Makes a change from all the bitching that goes on).

Hasn’t there been a suggestion that Mane wants out? I do feel there is no love lost between him and Salah, who I must say is ridiculously good goal scorer but incredibly greedy.
Interesting discussion who would you prefer in your team, Mane or Salah?
