Unless PvA is leaving this would seem a waste of money with Mitchell able to debutise when needed. Would we really spend 15/20m on a full-back? It seems highly unlikely, although it would be typical if we blew our budget on a defender we don't need when we do need forward players!

I realize that our last 8 games last season might suggest we need a whole new team, but the idea we would even contemplate paying £10m (never mind £20m) for a player (Jamal Lewis) we don't currently need seems ludicrous to me. the click baiters would have us chasing a player in every position, it seems.
