I stand corrected, I didn't realise this, I thought it was in general. Apologies.

Being of a senior age,I have decided not to renew my season ticket.

But if I decide to pay £200 in order to guarantee my regular seat in season 21/22,will I still qualify for an "early bird" discount,if indeed there still is a discount?

If you pay the balance by deadline why shouldn't you?

Indeed. We wont be renewing, with the rules now in place being the final straw. Benteke & Rh contract extensions being the main reasons.

I have just renewed our two tickets but not expecting to see much live football for a while yet. It’s effectively an interest free loan for the club but as I am lucky enough to still be working ok I don’t mind helping out my team. I realise it’s a drop in the ocean when it comes to players wages and transfers etc. but I try not to get too hung up on modern day football finance and am just enjoying Palace mixing it with the elite.

To "pieceofcake". You can also use your credit from the 2019/20 season when deferring your season until the 21/22 season. So the upfront cost will be somewhere in the region of £100 depending on the credit amount and yes you will be entitled to an early bird price. I checked these details with the box office by email and got a prompt reply confirming the above. Cheers Gerry J

The club have favoured us oldies as we are higher risk if we are unfortunate enough to get the virus and by giving us this option I personally think have been very fair.
I travel by public transport from Newbury and the way things are currently going will reluctantly be deferring my seat as I don't want to lose it.
I'm not in a bubble so the chances of seeing many matches is very minimal, but good luck and enjoy to those that are able to get to the games at Selhurst. COYP.

They are asking for £200 from pensioners and fans with medical conditions to hold their ST over for the 20/21 season.. How is that not asking for money ?.

Everyone is well aware we are not obliged to pay and take our money else where, but after supporting a club for 35 odd years In my case .. You tend to be a loyal customer .. regardless of the hoops and bs the club seem to be putting in the way of its fanbase for no logical reason.

You would surely have bought a season ticket though so it's less to hold it than to renew it.
Even fans who dont see it as fair would have paid up in any given year. The monthly payers are most affected with interest and credit checks. It will go back to interest free I think ,once back to 'normal'.

Why did that go big bold letters. Not intentional.
