This guy (I know, not a player)

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

Depends what worst means. Worst player or worst value for money.

Outright worst, some bit-part player of little relevance.

Worst VFM: Benteke

(People say he kept us up for a season...i say a good £10m player might well also have kept us up and risen in value. Murray could also have got more goals that year had Tekkers not been around)

I doubt many would disagree with you on that point and furthermore we are still wasting money on him, he will not go anywhere whilst his contract is in place so we could not at the moment terminate by it by mutual consent
I'm afraid CP was stitched up by Liverpool on that one and perhaps on one other!

I'd somehow managed to erase his existence for us, from my memory until this point.

I change my choice to this

Ivan Kaviedes -in terms of amount of excitement and expectation I had for a player and what he might be able to do to Premiership defences.

Whether we actually signed him for £2m or he was a loanee is lost in the mists of time but all I remember him doing is hitting the post with a resounding shot in one game and then disappearing from the bench after less than a handful of games... obvs not fancying a winter in Croydon.

Ruddock though, was like a Pantomime Horse

A big centre forward called I think Mackin who just impersonated telegraph poles but with slightly less movement

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

There's no way Mutch was the worst, there are dozens to choose from. He had the odd average to good performance and was certainly a squad player. Plus we got a fee for him (I seem to remember surprise at getting a decent fee). Are you trying to say Mutch was worse than Marange or Fryers, or Brolin/ Gabiadini back in the day? There was also Rakip - did that even happen? Seems surreal. I think the rationale from the club was - 'someone for the training ground'!
And there are worse than them that we have forgotten (thankfully). Would Gareth Taylor count: the guy that just couldn't score no matter what? The most hilarious window was the Holloway one. Was Mutch one of those? I get the feeling he wasn't, and that we weren't unhappy as fans to get him. He was pretty crap but not the worst by any means.
