I played against Steve Clarke's son, don't know his name, a few years back in the Amateur Combination League South, mainly old boys teams. They wore the Chelsea kit as their main kit. I don't specifically remember him as a footballer but they team were a bunch of thugs trying to intimidate, bully and fight their way through the game. A team of unsavoury scumbags.

Back in the day I played against Wrighty on a couple of occasions, once us both scoring two goals a piece for our respective clubs in a 3-2 cup defeat for mine. They were a division below us at the time!
I also in my youth played for many years with ex Barnsley player and later manager Nicky Law in my local team from the Lewisham area, and I also played for the district, who were managed by Mr Pigden that Ian was surprised to see in a broadcast documentary having thought he had passed away.

Other players around my league were Paul Elliot ex Chelsea and Celtic, and a few later first team Millwall players who I played against at school level.

I had a trial with Blackburn Rovers as a 17 year old, but decided against a move into digs in Blackburn as I had just started dating my girlfriend who is now my wife. So all's well that ends well.
