Hi all,

Quick tech question.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9, it came with Google photo's as a standard pre installed app.

It has automatically decided to piggy-back my standard photo viewer and upload EVERYTHING to Google Drive.

Now my Google Drive has historical media I need to keep their, but most importantly this 15GB of space is ALSO shared with my main Gmail account.

I now have NO ROOM and my Gmail is warning me I may soon stop receiving mails - this is NOT good!

I never gave Google the instruction or permission to pull photo's to the drive and after reading online, I cannot figure a simple way of deleting them.

It says to ''log-in to google photo account on a desktop''!? When I never created one. And I don't think it's a standard Google App! If it's linked to my Google Drive, why cant I find it from there, or a relating folder so I can mass delete?

Think I've disabled on my phone to avoid further damage. This magnitude of user-unfriendlyness points towards me having to BUY new storage I never even needed.

Can anyone pleeeeaaaaase help at all? In the middle of a house move and would rather ensure I receive notification of a completion date than be able to remotely access a photo of an empty shelf in tesco or a parking ticket from january!

Thanks guys!

If I understand you correctly, login to your Google account on a computer: signing into Gmail will do it. At the top of Gmail there are all the other Google apps - top right I think. Open Google photos and you will see all your photos and recordings in date order. You can then choose which ones to delete. Deleting videos will free the most space.

Thanks mate - however the issue is that Google Photo's does not appear to be in with all the other google apps. Will check again as it really SHOULD BE, especially if its hijacking Gmail / GDrive space!
