Examples of Football managerial incompetence

Its a tough job being a manager. A very political job. And so no matter what you do, somebody will criticize you. A few examples of suspected incompetence : Lawrie Sanchez left Northern Ireland for Fulham....and filled half the squad with NI players. With catastrophic consequences. Our own Peter Taylor explained in an interview how we play 4-5-1 when out of possession, switching to 4-3-3 when we have the ball....nice and helpful for opposition managers in the dugout. I vaguely recall a manager in the Champions League looking puzzled when a sky interviewer mentioned that he only needed a draw in the remaining fixture. Giovanni Trappatoni, managing the Republic of Ireland, deciding to exclude every player who ever upset him....leading to an almost empty dressing room. other examples of incompetence please.... - signing broken or overage players...michael Owen - Bullying players and causing an insurrection (Roy Keane) - sloppy Paperwork (the Tevez affair ) - Managers getting the reputation that no players wish to sign for them... - failing to manage Referees correctly..Arsenal what other examples or opinions please ?

All recent West Ham managers can't be bothered to scout their own targets and just go after ours. They spend loads on players before realising their best player is Antonio (who I wouldn't rule out coming to us).

Jose ManUre-Ho seems to be made of teflon. hundreds of mini scandals and yet he continues to get big jobs at big clubs. Even though he never maintains high standards for more than a season or two.

I didn’t know shagging a team mates wife was called bickering? I must add that to my street speak dictionary.
