An infectious laugh and enviably upbeat view of life. A real people person, and I'm pleased she seemed to eventually find herself a nice bloke to help her through what must have been some very tough years of late. RIP Babs.

I am so saddened to hear the news and I am sure these sentiments will be shared by many, many people. She seemed such a wonderful down-to-earth lady who was always upbeat and smiling and she will be sadly missed. My thoughts are with her husband Scott and all her family and friends.RIP.

As I recall from a TV interview, Sid James pestered her into submission for a sh@g. She said 'womens rights' groups would be ashamed "but she lay back and thought of England".
