I can't say I know much about him but as with all highlights videos he looks great! Tbh at the moment, any players that we're linked with who fit the 'young and promising' criteria I am all for.

I have seen Olise in recent matches.
Can play out wide or in the middle of midfield and even as a striker but he is mainly deployed as a midfielder.
Is left-footed, easy on the eye and whilst he doesn't possess searing pace he is sufficiently fleet of foot to cause problems for the opposition.
He provides good delivery at set-pieces, is creative and works hard off the ball.
Certainly not the finished product but he is still in his teens and is certainly a good prospect.

Thanks Willo. Am I right in thinking that if we got him through the door, he could in theory play in the first team squad as he is underage? Jumping too many hurdles of course but that's what a 7-0 defeat does to one's mentality....

Looks like Olise will definitely move on, hopefully to Palace. To have another talented young midfielder who might slot into the first team squad would be a good outcome for the January window, plus a couple of the older higher income players (thinking of Sakho) moving too?

A flair forward player at just 19 years old with 20 Championship games under his belt this season, 4 goals and several assists with an £8 million release fee. I really feel, although it may stretch the bank balance a bit, that this is too good an opportunity to miss.
He reminds me a lot of Eze (Hope it's not just the haircut and the blue and white hoops). We paid twice the amount for Eze who is 3 or 4 years older. The chance to have Olise on the bench to come on for Eze/Wilf would be great development for him and a great late game outlet for us.
Also, covers off a potential loss of Wilf. Eze and Olise in the club prior to Wilf leaving would not leave us being held to ransom by other clubs.
He looks easy on the eye, good ball control but also looks to possess good awareness of what's going on around him.
I really hope we go in for him.

Saw another source that Leicester were interested in him, especially as they are looking to offload Grey. Quoted there a 30mill fee.
I suspect one of 2 things, both equally likely imo.
1) Lazy reporting, just looking at estimated values and ignorant of the 8 mill release fee in his contract
2) He has signed a new contract that does not have a release fee.

Reading were on the TV a lot last season and this kid shone in many of those games.
I'm not sure whether the £8m release clause is true though. It was mentioned a lot last year yet nobody came in for him.
Definitely worth going for though.

Saying medicals done, so we will find out soon enough if it is guff. Fingers crossed, he is the sort of player we should be targeting.

Fifield is also saying he's joined. Should be confirmed tomorrow if he has. I imagine PV will want new players in ASAP so he can get some time with them next week at St George's Park.
