I haven’t seen any such statement from the BBC! There is an acceptance of the very obvious difference in perceptions between the two tribes in the USA, as described in this piece today on how the Hunter Biden story is seen:-

That though isn’t the same as those perceptions being accurate. They aren’t any more than those of the biased right’s opinions here are accurate. They are simply the result of the way opinions have solidified. All it proves is that Trump’s continual Big Lie tactics work and that lies become unquestioned truths in some minds.

But what about lying to save the voters from themselves ? There are so many types of lying, I'm now confused about what is the good type that I should believe for my own good, and the bad type that is forced into politicians mouths by their opponents and the untrustworthy sections of the media.
Thank goodness we have a poster telling us what to believe. I just hope they aren't telling bad lies too.
