Thoughts on first half: Although Reidewald was partly at fault for a lack of commitment for us to concede, his goal was good and his forward play is good as well as his passing. Ayew offers more than Townsend Bats positional awareness of other players is diabolical. Can a forward be offside any more times than him? Defence looks shaky Newcastle look a threat going forward.

Strange first half. They have had their chances and we look ropey at centre back but brilliant by us to get back into the game and then ahead. Please lord above get Bats off that pitch, I can’t bare watching him.

I would have Batshuayi off at half-time.He offers absolutely nothing.Strolls around,no effort, gets offside.Dreadful.
