Every time I watch Palace we are not only playing poorly but look yards off the pace and at the end of most games absolutely shattered. I know we have a slightly older squad but the average age is 29 or 30 not 45. There are some incredible athletes in their mid 30s in other sports and look at Tom Brady aged 43 so I refuse to accept age as an excuse. In previous regimes, even when not playing well we at least didnt stop running. Remember England in 2016 looked exactly same. Sluggish. When Roy goes, I would not be surprised to see the new manager come in and express surprise at how badly unfit we are. I wonder if this lack of fitness is also contributing to our continued injury problems.

We are definitely not the fittest but the squad is elderly so it is as fit as it could be

We might be. But giving the last 3 teams a goal start in the first 5 minutes isn’t down to fitness. It’s down to being a bunchof2bobc*ntsness.
