On the back of survival he might get another 1 year deal if he wishes to continue his managerial career.
He is tried and trusted and the hierachy might feel that his experience might be vital during a period of change.
I somehow don't believe this will be popular with supporters.

Yes, that's entirely possible.

I just sense that both Roy and Parish are preparing for a parting of the ways at the end of the season.

Canterbury Palace said:
There was no heart, no leadership and no passion

what he didn't include was:
No tactics, no alternative plans and, very importantly, no technical ability.

Both Leeds and Burnley looked like decent teams, we looked like lost sheep, or as Scouse fans used to call us 'A Pub Team' (and a pretty poor one at that)

Or as Jermaine Jenas called us on Match of the Day last night 'hopeless'

There is no point in defending the undefendable, Parish has been aware of the situation with this injury prone squad for the last couple of seasons at least and done very little about except extending contracts for likes of Wickham & Benteke which was complete madness and totally incompetent. We are now in position where we have virtually the whole squad out of contract in the summer and frankly quite a few of them are not going to get another top flight club job, sadly I'm thinking we could still be relegated if we have a run in like we did last season, those below us are coming up towards us and in some cases passing us by.

Fulham are on the verge of reducing the gap to 11 points this evening, with a game in hand.

Their next three extremely winnable fixtures are Burnley, Sheff Utd and then us. Our next two fixtures are Brighton and Fulham.

I can't express how important it is that we take some points from those games because, after that, we've got a nightmare run.

If Roy can't motivate the players for those fixtures then we could suddenly find ourselves in a very precarious situation.

If you checked out some of the Brighton fans online comments about Potter, tactics, the way their club is run etc., it's not dissimilar to what we read on here about Palace.

While we are craving good football but getting results enough to stay competitive, they have been playing expansively without getting the results. Until last few games.

As I've written so many times before, Hodgson's appointment on a rolling 12 month deal tells you all you need to know about the short termism approach by our owners.

Sooner or later that has to change. I believe - and hope - it will be this summer.

Undoubtedly but their efforts eventually appear to have clicked and they're now on an unbeaten run of six, including decent wins over Spurs, Liverpool and Leeds. We are going in the opposite direction and our trajectories appear to be very different.

If they beat us they'll go ahead of us and I can't see us regaining that advantage this season, given the run we have coming up.

Unfortunately I have no doubt that if they can justify Roy staying for another year, they'll do so. Should we somehow claw another win or two from somewhere, I'd guess they'd announce in on the back of that.

Alas we won't get a single point from those games.

Central defence in a complete mess.
Central midfield overrun and lack of mobility.
Forwards who are an embarrassment.
Lack of creativity, decent movement, mobility and pace.
No Zaha.

The 'Wheels have come off' - We will be outplayed by both Brighton and Fulham.

I Cannot disagree, The squad we available for selection right now would struggle to get a game in a decent championship side. It's all a bit of dilemma really, if we change Manager now as some are quite rightly asking then would a different manager get anymore out what's currently available, I doubt it and then will a decent Manager want to come to a Club that does not invest in the team, With a Chairman who does not believe in empowerment and a DOF who would struggle during bob-a-job week to find a job!

I don't believe that to be true. There are probably quite a few wealthy billionaires who would be willing to buy the club but they would want all of it and contrary to your opinion I don't think that Parish wants to sell even though he stands to make a bigger profit than when he sold TAG and that is the sticking point

Would they get any less? The last two games have yielded zero points, an aggregate scoreline of 0-5 and six shots on target.

I just feel quite strongly that if Roy is only going to be here until the end of this season or next season, he shouldn't be in charge of signing off new contracts for 30+ year olds who are clearly on the wane.

Give someone else the chance to come in, hopefully a new manager bounce can carry us to safety and then they have a few months to weigh up what we need ahead of a huge summer at the club.

Can't believe I'm saying this as I don't particularly rate him but I'd take Eddie Howe right now. He can't make our defence any worse and at least when we lost I wouldn't spend half the game contemplating gouging my own eyes out.

Sadly I do not believe we have the quality to make things any better irrespective who the manager is. Equally, why would Howe or any other decent Manager want to come a club that has been allowed to just run out of shelf life with no prospect of change with 36% of the club in American ownership and they have made no secret of the fact that they want out but can find no buyer interest whilst Parish wants to maintain overall control?

Totally agree. I believe there have been some very interested parties but SP does not want to relinquish what he has. Despite what he has said I feel he could not bear to lose his position within the club
