For all the names being thrown about as a potential successor to Roy, I cannot understand why this guy is not the front runner.

League one - Winner
Championship - Winner
Never been relegated
Endorsed by Kasper Schmichael as the best coach he has worked under
Plus, a side he built went on to win the premier league.

I don’t think there is a manager out there who we can attract with a better cv.

- Howe - spent millions with Bournemouth and was relegated. Team conceded on average 60 goals a season

- Cooper - no experience at this level failed in championship playoffs

- Lampard - failed in the playoffs at derby and failed at Chelsea (I think they were 9th when he was sacked)

- Frank - no experience at this level, failed in the play offs with Brentford.

- Dyche - play similar football to the style we play now. Also been relegated

You only have to look at chris wilder and Daniel farke who have done OK in the championship and been useless in the prem. why take the risk.

Plus a Pearson press conference is always entertaining. Get the subscriptions up at Palace TV.

I do think the biggest problem in getting in a decent manager is the way our club is run.
We are run on a very tight budget as for players we tend to get players other clubs do not want.
As much as I think Roy has had his time, I feel a little bit for him has he been given any backing by the board.
They way our club is it need a shake up a reality check, every season we act like a promoted side.
Don’t think any managers are going to be queuing up to take the job when Roy leaves.

Never been relegated???????

He relegated Watford 8 months ago lol, he can't jump ship 2 games before the season ends and think it doesn't count. They had City and Arsenal in their last two games, the damage was already done.

He'd knock the Chairman out sharpish, I suspect.

But I think you are right on his CV vs the others. And he certainly wouldn't put up with players not giving 100%.

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..

He was sacked with two games to go. Plus, when he took over at Watford, they we’re adrift at the bottom of the league. He did a really good job, given the circumstances.

He took over with Watford bottom of the league with just 9 pts from 16 games.

He was in charge for 20 games during which they collected 25 pts and he left with 2 games remaining with Watford a place above the relegation zone.

Hayden Mullins was in charge for the last 2 games, against Man C and Arsenal, they lost them both and were relegated.

Ha, ha.
They had a very friendly romp on the touchline at the King Power as I remember. Still tickled by the silliness of it all.

Speaking of Jimmy Mc I do hope he is fit again soon.
He is the one player who can be relied on to give his all, even on his aged legs.
