Right we have mentioned places that we wouldn't live or go back too ? But say you had a budget of 150k/250k ? Where would you move too if work was not an issue ?

best place to live ?

any place that did not get a tsunami of young single men from the Third World. Too many men = a violent society.

So 'good to live' will include loads of places, and removes tons of places in the Euro-Zone.

and the sociologists would agree with me....

all the cocaine made in Latin america travels North, bringing guns & violence.

Any place to the south of the coke-factories, and poor, will not have been blighted. Hence , Peru, Argentina, Uruguay ....may all be nice.

Spanish speaking, nice and easy to learn.

climate ok, less likely to roast you to death during their summer.

The former Yugoslavia States. Good climate, good cost of living, , beautiful countryside. Just a short hop on ryanair, the language is also fairly easy to get a beginners knowledge.

Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro....all could be good.

Finland has the highest IQ in the World and also gets a good reputation.

Iceland is good. Lots of space and the locals are 50% of Celtic stock. And the winters are not nearly as cold as New York.

Newfoundland....free land to put your cabin on in the wilderness. The local accent sounds vaguely familiar.

Lithuania...one of the oldest extant languages in the World

You asked ''if work was not an issue''

i know a number of people who summer in Northern Europe and always Winter somewhere warm....lots of different places (the Gulf, Australia, Andalusia).

Consideration of residency for tax purposes become relevant
