I've been critical of Luka, but he has played better defense in the past 10 games than earlier in the season. I still don't understand his captaincy, but what do I know?

I guess we don't need to understand it. Truth is, the players have been quoted saying they respect him and he leads them well around the field etc. So that's the main thing. I also think Cahill is a more natural leader. But anywho.

I heard Luka speak for the first time after the West Brom game and was impressed, particularly by his handling of the question about Wilf refusing to kneel. One of the pundits also commented on how well he spoke. Originally posted by sprites
