i went to bury v palace,it was either 75/76 or 76/77,we won 1-0 with steve perrin scoring,does any old codger like me know which season it was,as i want to get the programme,thanks

damn fine keeper Tony Burns - exceptional shot stopper - South African, from Durban I believe ... I think Stuart Jump and Bobby Bell were both Sarth Effricans too.

Tony Burns certainly played in S.Africa but was born in this country and spent nearly all of his footballing career here at league and non-league level.

oh dear, it seems I was talking b*ll*x, not the first time nor will it be the last. At least two of them played in South Africa, it's either down to my ageing memory or Brian Moore getting his facts wrong.
