I have only just come across this article [Link] from last month, and was pleased to see that Jules "is doing his coaching badges".

The connection to Palace is still there. Speroni’s son Thiago – also a goalkeeper – plays for the club’s U12 team. “I’m at the training ground more than when I was a player,” said Speroni, a broad smile breaking across his face. “Because he trains three times a week, he has a game at the weekend and then I come in once a week with the U18s and U23s.

Would be surely be the most romantic of romanticisms to see a speroni between the sticks at SP again! Name fits in well to tune too: Do, doo, do, Thi-a-go Speroni! Do, doo, do…..
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Obviously difficult to compare between era,s & I wouldn't be able to choose between the 3 top contenders - all 3 were fantastic keepers & a credit to the club. John Jackson - Nigel Martyn - Julian Speroni.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

John Burridge was the best character on and off the pitch, nice to see Speroni is still involved.
