Sorry, are we aston villa now then? I do know the history, but we've had iconic red and blue kits for half a century, and are the only team in the league to play in those colours. Why would we ditch that to use colours that half the league play in?

Beauty thats a thing of beauty…even with the sponsor. damn, i love these same designs last 2 seasons. which means the 3rd kit will be a throwback to the red sash kit (i assume)

Thought we were the famous red and blue, not claret and blue. Did I miss something?
In dog beers I’ve only had one. |

Maybe this white one is the third kit…giving a bit more scope for design freedom. Also, an issue for us I think is that sometimes all our kits clash with some opponents as we have red and blue in them all so this is more different, so more useful as a third?

Takes me back to the days of Peter Wall and Yogi Hughes. Loved those shirts, and proper jersey too.

Why would we ditch that to use colours that half the league play in? You’ve only got to go into the Club Shop or visit the club website to see the claret & blue retro shirts and other souvenirs - which I assume sell in good numbers as they are often different versions every season - to see why the club would use the colours. Don’t think any Palace fan that saw Palace play in the old colours will ever tell you they didn’t like them - so many memorable matches and great Palace players in those shirts - of course we should be celebrating them, in my view. Free advertising-I've always advocated that your season ticket should include the option of a free current club shirt when they change the strips. I know that would never happen now as the revenue generated by shirt sales is a huge amount at most clubs and in the current climate almost irreplaceable!

Those are the best kits we've had for years. I sort of agree that the claret should be red but by the time I've spilt have a dozen snakebites down it, it probably will be anyway.
