Sometimes you read a story and hope it's fake, sometimes you read one and hope there is some truth to it. In this case I hope for the latter.

I just read this story as well. Seems we like bald headed Frenchmen all of a sudden! If there's any legs in this yarn it's a yes from me.
But I can't believe that Henri wouldn't be offered something a little more financially lucrative and exciting!
But if he isn't surely he would come and help a mate out for a while, wouldn't he?

PV linked up with TH would certainly make a formidable duo and a terrific source of expertise for our young players.

But, as much as I'd like to see this happen, the story has a strong whiff of speculative chit chat about it.

Having said that, it's true that some good things are bubbling away at Palace so.... you never know.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

As a coach there were rumours of him being a poor communicator and struggling to get his ideas across. Big name, but I'm not sure it would be that great a move. He clearly wants to manage, so would he undermine Vieira's position if things don't go well? Also, I could only see him accepting an assistant manager position and personally I'd prefer a more senior number two

He’s got to be worth a shout just for his influence with young players and his pull in signing young players throughout Europe! Why would Wilf leave when he can work with his heroes and win something at HIS club?

Presumably you are referring to the handball against Ireland. I doubt there is a professional footballer who would not have done the same. If Wilf did it in the last minute of cup final, would you cheer and celebrate?
If TH joins, our academy is going to take off big time

Agreed on the handball but much as I like the idea in principle I'm only a real fan if he is fully sold on the project and not just lending a hand.

Also rationally PV will be with us just for a spell - RH's greatest achievement is in a way to make us forget about managerial instability. And I'd minmise the staff that are simply "Vieira people" who will disappear when he does. There's obviously a balance here as we should take advantage of Vieira
contacts while he is here and he should have people around who is he comfortable with.

Not exactly saying no as it would be fun to send them Wrighty and get Henry in return

really? as im my eyes, as a 39 year old football fan “i think” he is the best striker i have ever seen play in this country.

if he can bring that experience & quality to coach our attackers i could see it as a massive coup.

Best player I’ve seen when watching in the ground. His speed of turn and pace past defenders was frightening

remember that thing he used to do when he waited for a defender to be flat footed before using his burst of pace to go past them? that was groundbreaking, wilf learnt that off him.

imagine what he could teach the rest of our kids?

PV and Vieira are two of the finest black / french players to grace this island. They were both top global stars. To have them both guiding our future would be extraordinaire. These guys with a fresh group of young talent could just take football in the premier to a new level. At the Palace. !!!!
Mind boggling where this could be going.
One thing for sure. They will be like the pied piper. What young rising star won’t want to be part of it. Very exciting possibility. P
