A few months ago I was in conversation with a charming gentleman who is resident in Tenerife.
He informed my that some luxury apartments built in a development in Los Gigantes have all been sold for prices between £750,000 and £1.25 Mill.

Yep, that is Cristal, new luxury apartments right at the top of Los Gigantes next to the Royal Sun. A friend bought one and had to be temporarily housed in a hotel as they had no electricity after completion. Whoops! The Canarians as with all Spanish love an unfinished project.

Watch Ireland buck the trend. Can't have our politicians losing out on their investments. Petty turds.

Nah, ain’t going to happen. Too much demand. I would agree if there were bundles of places to live but there isn’t.

How much does an igloo set you back these days?

''UK house prices fell at their fastest annual pace for nearly 14 years in May, the Nationwide has said. The building society said prices in the year to May dropped by 3.4%, the biggest decline since July 2009.''

the crash has finally arrived. Fasten your seat belts folks. The next 3 years will be rocky

I thought they solved it by famines and gulags?

ah yes. The Soviets solved their housing shortages by ridding themselves of a few tens of millions of home-occupiers.

If the Left actually focused its efforts on promoting things like this along with say universal access to utilities thrown in as well, rather than wasting all that effort on Gays and saving Whales, then it might actually gain some traction in the wider populace.

But perhaps that is the point of the Gays and the Whales?

I'm always having to explain to my friend who believes that he is far right, that far left would be just the same. They wouldn't be putting up with unconformity either. Re-education for homosexuality; the greater good/need trumps the environment.
