We are being linked by a couple of papers with Angelo Fulgini, 24 former French U21 attacking midfielder for 12m, second most fouled player in any of the top European leagues last season.

I've only seen the one article in Daily Mail and it looks like agent talk to me as the club are looking to drum up a sale as they need the money

if he is any good i would rather buy or loan to buy someone, rather than just a loan with no option to buy like Gallagher

£12m seems cheap comparative to Gallagher as we would still "own" him at the end of the season but he would be blocking Banks and others and do we really know his capabilities.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Is this another case of the club having at least 2 irons in the fire for the one position? If so, if Gallagher has agreed to come here will talk of Fulgini wane as it did re Nelsson when Guehi signed and Kabak, it seems, now that Andersen has signed?

Dougie Freedman has often been heavily criticized here, probably due to his Bolton adventure, but give him full credit for this transfer window.
So far, more (and better) than we could have hoped for.

Absolutely - given our status some 30 odd days ago I renewed my season ticket wondering what I was going to see from us - however I have been really pleasantly surprised - we have clearly tried to embrace the covid reset (lowering the salary / income statistic) addressed as far as possible the new manager & aging player situation, trying out as many of the under 18 + U23 in the friendlies as possible, progressed to managing the transfer situation in a much more efficiant , cleaner way that I can ever remember.
OK I am under no illusions that we are still going to be in for some difficult saturday afternoons during the season but I think we can do so knowing that the CPFC management team have done as much as possible ( + more than I thought that they would) in setting the club on the right course for the future

French clubs need the money so according to European football experts there are some great deals to be done there.
Not only have they been hit in the pocket like everyone else cos of Covid but the TV deal has collapsed over there too.
So this player may be quite a bit cheaper than he would be under normal circumstances.

Yes indeed. A quality player who has come up though the French national academy. A snip for the price quoted.

Palace are the new carpetbaggers.

At the risk of being laughed out of the room - Barcelona are seriously in financial crisis - now I am not suggesting that we get over there & start bidding for Messi but lower down the ranks there may be a deal for a player somewhere in that squad that we could be interested in / could afford.
