It'll be interesting to see how Viera approaches these games. In the cup games Roy seemed to send the team out without clear instruction other than to provide no entertainment, no shots, before eventually limping out like a dysfunctional pen1s. With current injuries it won't be easy, but Watford looked pretty awful against us last week.

Lets be honest, and it saddens me to have to accept but the League Cup is effectively a defunct competition. There is very little incentive for clubs in the Prem to play full strength teams in the early rounds of the competition. Lower league clubs will give it a go because gate receipts can be a big incentive if they draw a larger team. First few rounds Prem teams will just use the games as better B Team/Development squad fixtures.
