1st half we were awful again. Two full backs play hot potato with the ball as neither has the quality or confidence to do something with it. Nobody within 20 yards of Benteke. Can’t see how people give him s*** when just need to get players closer to him so he can flick on or lay it off. 2nd half was completely different game. Anderson is far too good for us already. Carries it it from the back and picks a pass so well. Antonio was unbelievable lucky his header bounced off the back of his head and fell perfectly to smash it in. Thought we were on for repeat of Sunderland away 2016 when we got that last min freekick.

A great result yesterday at half time I was pretty despondent but PV seemed to work his magic as were were a different side second half and bested the Spam. For a brief moment I was thinking FDB again but I think the players believe in PV more than they did FDB. I think the team will take a lot from that performance and with new bodies / injury returns on the way I have got my mojo back. COYP

I don't know where he got it from but it's wrong. It should be fount, not font.

I thought he was unlucky with 2nd goal, he was nudged whilst in the air ( not much you can do about that), still got his head to the ball, but a lucky bounce off Antonio’s head set him up nicely. Thought it was just me with my Palace tinted glasses on. When you watch the reply from behind the goal, Antonio nudged Andersen just enough to make a difference. Obviously difficult for the ref to spot but a foul nonetheless.

Decent point and could have nicked it at the end. Noticed on the West Ham forum that they blamed the pitch, wasn’t that the same pitch they turned Leicester over on? Maybe the tenants have not repaired all those shot put craters from the Olympics, didn’t affect Connor as he turned their defence inside out for the second! Old Moyes is a proper Scottish Knob, thought I would just add that…

Mate of mine is a complete WH nutcase (he is now living in Malta)he was watching the game in the bar, giving me a hard time texting me how crap Palace were in the first half, at the end of the game I got a message from him that if the game had gone on for another 10 minutes Palace would have won. I know their stadium is a bit crap for building an atmosphere but thought our support was crap in the first half. It kinda reflects the team’s performance. Chicken and egg? Didn’t expect us to get a point after a first half as bad as that I can’t be disappointed with the draw but could have nicked it…So congratulations to the team and Viera, who managed to get us playing football. Phew! Not sure I could have taken the negativity on here had we not turned it around. Just think we have (better?) players to come into the team as well. Need to get Wilf back to playing well. I am looking forward to the highlights.

Penalties and punishment are Vieira preferred management tools, as if fear makes any player better or more confident. Together with dubious selections this spells disaster, and it is hardly a coincidence that our play is significantly worse than under de Boer. Could easily go 10 or more games without scoring - at least beeting our own world record of 7.
Explain the 'management tools'bit

i wasn't at the game I listened in and watched the highlights. I think we did okay. Its always risky but the team looks to playing as team trying.
