We weren't as fluid as in the previous games, but still had enough chances to win. Newcastle did what we have done many times in recent seasons. It only goes to prove there are no walkovers in the PL. Keeping their heads up and avoiding frustration setting in will be the hardest job now.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

what do we have todo to get a fair result 4 teams we should have beaten , wish it was boxing we would have 8 more points. please i agree pulling shirts should be punished but lets get it right ffs, refs dont pick and choose, someone is going to get smashed by us i can see it happening soon COYE

Another 2 points dropped. We don’t deserve to win games if we can’t f***ing defend set pieces. Individual mistakes have cost us YET AGAIN. Firstly, Benteke. He might as well play bare foot because he looks like he’s only capable of scoring with his head. Second, Guehi. Absolutely no need for to be shirt pulling. VAR is looking for reasons to disallow goals and that was thick. Lastly, Vieira. Subs were piss poor. Wrong subs again. Why is Hughes by getting any game time? Surely he was a better option than Schlupp or Mateta.

25% possession and barely an attack on goal and they steal a point, that’s crystal palace under Tony Pulis or RH in fact. As a fan base we are not used to dominating possession and thoroughly deserving to win, and not winning. We are gonna have to get used to it, this club stayed in the league many years doing what Newcastle did to us this year.

What a frustrating game football can be. Newcastle deserved nothing...a 1 in 100 goal assisted by a deflection, how lucky can you be. Newcastle reminded me of us last season. Palace remind me of (pains me to compare) Brighton early last season. Playing all the football but not finishing our chances. Benteke one good goal, could have had 4. Feel like we could be saying this a lot this season, played well and deserved more. But finish on a positive, Olise looks great, Eze still to comeback. COYP
