Well I keep having to pinch myself. It's been so long since I've this good about our team.

PV is walking on air at the moment. He has introduced great players and revitalized many of the old squad.

Gritty one at Burnley next week. Another mini-test.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Love the team, love Viera, love the energy, love the result.

It bothers me, though, that people suggest we should have played like this for the past three seasons. Over the past three seasons we lacked: Gallagher, Edouard, Andersen, Guehi, Olise, and a mature and confident Mitchell.

Moreover, Gallagher makes Jimmy Mac much better because now Jimmy isn't doing ALL the pressing/harassing work by himself. Right now the team is constructed very well – so well, in fact, that it will be challenging to use Eze properly when he returns.

I agree. They're different eras, with different budgets, different briefs.

The only thing I would add though, Zaha, Benteke, Mitchell look way better. When the manager is the right one average players look like good ones. And when the manager is the wrong one, good players play like Wan-Bissaka is right now.

I'm not sure I would have wanted Hodgson to have spent the money in the summer. We'd still be winning the ball 30 yards from our goal, it's just the players booting the clearance to Zaha would have a more accurate pass. It was the right time to end that cycle.

Why would it bother you, we only had eze, batshuayi, cahill, sakho, townsend and Dutch international left back pva.

Just accept it, the tactics and football under Hodgson was horrendous and the only thing he got right was the end result which was staying up, the football is 100x better under viera and he proves you can actually play to win at this level.

Haha I agree with Rikz’s final paragraph but I think you have summed it up more politely so thought it best to bump your comment. Vieira’s tactics and team motivation are a breath of fresh air.

Great result! Let Roy Hodgson be and be grateful he's gone, replaced by a manager who believes in positivity and energy and who has turned round players who were losing the ability to shine.
My concern is that although every player has responded to the new regime and look fitter and meaner, Gallagher is central to this improvement. When he goes we need to maintain that extra level that he brings to the team.

Dougie Freedman is the Director of Football and Steve Parish the Chairman. They recruit and buy the players.

Well don't post much on here but thought I was the only one thinking this way. Everyone thinks I'm mad but would only except the Manure in a third Cup Final. As you say, third time lucky..

Brilliant performance today against a team that set out to spoil and wanted to spend more time rolling around than playing football. Pathetic from them.

What a lovely afternoon to be a Palace fan!
Wolves are a good team - although not today - and this fixture worried me.
It need not have - a drab first half followed by an excellent 2nd half where we deservedly won the game.
Some excellent performances and PV is learning something new every week.
My only disappointment today was Wolves.
I thought they were a load of cheats who fell down at every opportunity, they tried to con the referee all the time and generally let themselves down.
We won though and are looking very good and Gallagher is just incredible!
