In our 5th tier, the National League there are fixtures like Dover or Eastleigh against the likes of Grimsby and Stockport

These clubs don't fly, there isn't the finances!

Apparently there is no appetite to regionalise at that level either!

Madness

When you live in the West of Cornwall, domestic flights makes great sense from a time, comfort and cost point of view (but not green).
e.g. London is 5.5 hours by train 1 hour by plane.

Every time I’ve done it there have been delays. But in principal much better way.

I did fly Arg to UK for our last FA Cup final, like so many others from around the globe and felt no guilt.

Top man.

Cop 26 ended in tears. Literally!!!
The greens need a serious re think on all this.
No one who visited Glasgow wasn’t a hypocrite. Even blah blah blah Thornberg ( her day is done)
Plus the world leaders know they can’t pull it off especially two of the biggest offenders India and China. Plus look how the American leaders came and went. Laughable.
So just hope we have got it wrong cos they have just shown any significant change will be reactive not pro active. By which time it will be way too late.

So yes compared to world leaders, wealthy football clubs feel free to fly domestic. A plane and a coach is actually quite green to take their massive entourage away from home. As always we are looking at the wrong issues. Why do they have such a big entourage eg all the coaches so many subs etc etc. AND allow all the fans to travel?
It’s going on in USA India South America Europe etc.
This little island won’t make any difference. Look at the numbers.

Newquay to Glasgow is 10 hours by train or a 1 hour flight. There are lots of parts of the UK where domestic flights are vital not just for the local economy but for people keeping in touch.

I reckon Dougie might use a plane / taxi combo to get to Selhurst as he apparently lives in Cheshire and is currently on a driving ban:
