After todays totally inept performance, we’ll done Watford, can’t stand them either, who do you think will be there next manager? Obvious for me is Brendon At Leicester. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t touched up in the week based on his reaction in the press conference he gave this week. Would like to see Ole survive until Monday week though. What about Rooney getting an offer? Look forward to comments.

Ranieri has only just been appointed Watford manager, so that take care of that. As for Manure, who cares, give it to Ronny, cant do any worse, can see SAF stocking his oar in, if he hasn't already

surely it will be Zidane ? or maybe Pocchetino ?

You could never see them giving the big job to some untried manager who had never won anything significant, again.

i would also expect them to aggressively nick whatever manager they want from wherever.

Man Utd players were a disgrace yesterday - inept at times.
Glad to see McGuire playing badly - the most overrated player of his generation in my opinion.
Ronaldo should never have been bought either.
However - why Ole was ever appointed - who knows.
Out of his depth from the start.

For many reasons David Moyes is the stand out candidate. He knows the club, he has now shown what a good manager he is at W.Ham.

Confirmed that OGS has been sacked. The club have announced that they will look for an interim manager until the end of the season.

That's code for we couldn't get the manager we wanted in now.

My guess is that United know that their fans are very upset with the board and that they have to get a high profile manager to compete with the noisy neighbours and that no one the fans would like is currently available.

It does give the board the chance to appoint a so called lesser manager and rebuff the fan complaints as he is only temporary, and then if he works out he gets the job full time. Oh hang on isn't that what they did with OGS? how did that work out by the way.

As the Manure are looking for a temporary manager until the end of the season how about Steve Bruce?

Or Roy or Big Sam

Just had a quick look on their fan site which is in melt down, the fans smell BS from the board.

Personally, i think Carrick &/or Fletcher will be interim manager/s

I think they should go for Graham Potter.

1, It will derail Brighton completely

2, With the players Man U have, almost all of them a clear up grade on anyone at Brighton - how much better would Man U do? Could Potter do the same job with Pogba etc?

Look what they did at Liverpool?

Thankfully it is too early for Patrick and with his Gooner history we are safe - but.....why not Potter?

Certainly for the next 2/3 games the press release confirmed that.

However they did say they were looking for someone until the end of the season. Looking at the Manure fan sites they suspect this is BS to appoint a manager who is not "worthy" of the faithful like they did with OGS but rather than say that they are slipping him in under cover of the caretaker manager role.

Who knows they have a tough job on their hands trying to compete with Citeh and Liverpool, maybe Zidane didn't want to risk his reputation and Rodgers couldn't get out of his contract until the summer.

The fans are annoyed that Conte was allowed to go to Spurs and I agree that he would have been a better fit with big spending United.

High profile managers in work don't generally jump ship into a club in meltdown midway through a season. Pochettino always seemed destined for the job when at Spurs, so maybe him in the summer now he has experience of managing a top team. Zidane supposedly doesn't speak English which might be an issue. Reports prior to Ole getting das boot were that Leicester were looking at replacing Brendan due to poor form, which given that he also managed Liverpool raises question marks.

I like Ole, but he is useless as a manager. With the players they have they should be in the top 3. I think the next permanent appointment will be someone with a proven track record managing a top club. Any thing less would be a huge risk.

Erik ten Hag from Ajax might be worth a punt. Unless van Gaal has turned them against Dutch managers.
