The U23 Centre Back has been sent on loan to Swindon in League 2. Will be interesting to see how much game time he gets and how he does. And this is Swindon's take on the loan

Great news for Jake and hopefully for us too.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Ben Garner, ex Palace Academy coach, is Swindon manager

Unlikely, but I wonder if he’ll get any game time against Man City, Friday night which is live on ITV.

Good luck to the lad. It'll be a good test to see what his level is.

He's looked good when I've seen him for the U23s and suits the Vieira prototype as a ball-playing centre back. Playing men's football will be a good test for him. Be great to see him get minutes against Man City, albeit they'll probably field quite a few players he may already have played against in the U23s.

Very pleased to see this. Jake needs a bigger challenge than he will get at U23 level.

Great for him to get out on loan but shame he couldn't get a championship or league 1 loan at least,

If he is as good as Swindon say he is I'll follow his progress with more than the usual interest. A tall ball-playing centre half is something to dream of at Palace. We've had plenty of tall centre-halves in the mode of Alan Stephenson but none I remember who can hold and pass the ball consistently. Andersen is a good passer but not so good in the air or at holding the ball.
Man and boy Palace since my first game in 1948 sitting on my dad's shoulders |
